Terms & Conditions


The proprietor and Wardens are entitled to refuse admission when this appears necessary in the interest of park guests. All male and all female groups and unrelated mixed groups in excess of four persons are only accepted by prior arrangement. The proprietor reserves the right to cancel or terminate a booking where its guest has failed to disclose all material facts as required. They may also require any persons not observing the park rules, or creating a nuisance, to leave the park and no refunds will be given.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking (including those booked on-line and paid for in advance).

You must be over 18 years old to make a booking and to stay on site without a parent or Guardian (Duke of Edinburgh or similar by arrangement).

We cater for couples and families and reserve the right not to accept bookings from groups with more than three units unless expressly agreed by Bank House Farm beforehand.  We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any group of more than 3 units already onsite if not agreed by us before hand and refunds will not be given.

To secure bookings, a deposit/payment of 40% of the total cost is required at the time of booking. Relevant deposit/payment fees secure bookings, covers bank costs & also handling fees and therefore are non-refundable. Any refunds due are at the descretion of the owner of Bank House Farm Campsite.

Payment/deposit taken to secure bookings, or payment in advance acts as confirmation of your booking.  By making a booking you warrant that you have authority of all persons in your party to book on their behalf & you all accept these terms & conditions.

The number of people occupying each pitch must not exceed the number stated in the booking request or registration form unless arranged. Additional charges per tariff must be paid for on arrival.  

CANCELLATION If you need to cancel we require written or email notice at least 14 days prior to the start of your stay. If at least 14 days notice is received then a full refund will be given less the handling fee of £20. If less than 14 days notice is given before the scheduled arrival date then no refund will be given. No refunds will be given for guests failing to arrive. Refunds are given at at the descretion of the owner, the wardens, or their representatives.   We strongly recommend that guests take out appropriate insurance.

Any guest who is unable to make a full payment will not be allowed to their pitch.  Monies will not be refunded in the event that some members of your party fail to arrive. If you have a large unit, you must tell us at time of booking.  If you fail to do so we cannot guarantee that your pitch will be of adequate size.

If you decide to leave your stay prior to your departure dates, no monies will be refunded.

Arrival times are from 1pm & departure time is 12 noon. Late departure can be arranged with a payable fee but must be by prior arrangement as the pitch may not be available for others until the next day. Please respect departure times.

You MUST let us know if your arrival time will be after 8pm – Please bear in mind that we will always try to accommodate you if you arrive later than this but we need to consider the comfort of others enjoying their stay with us onsite without unnecessary traffic on and off the pitch areas. There will always be times when late arrival is unavoidable so please let us know as soon as possible if this will be the case. 


We are a rural family site and LOUD NOISE OR MUSIC IS STRICTLY PROHITED.  We operate a no noise policy between 10.30pm – 8am to ensure peace & tranquillity to all our guests. TV’s and radios should be used considerately during the day. The use of car radios/CD’s etc. is not allowed. Anyone breaching this rule and causing a nuisance to other guests will be asked to leave the site without  a refund.  You should take responsibility for your own safe transport home.

The use of external generators is strictly forbidden.


Dogs (Maximum 2 dogs per pitch) must be kept on a short lead at all times unless in the exercise field. They must not be allowed to foul any part of the campsite. An enclosed dog exercise field is provided. As a responsible owner we expect you to clear up any dog mess immediately and put it in the bin provided. Dogs are not allowed in the toilets/shower facilities. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time.


Barbecues are allowed, provided they are of a type that does not allow hot ash/surfaces to touch the ground, situated away from combustible materials and are not a nuisance to other guests. Camp fires are permitted only if in a self- contained unit and off the ground, e.g. fire pit. Burning material is not to be scavenged from the camp site. Minors must be supervised at all times when these items are being used.


Any loss or damage to any of the park’s facilities or equipment, which any occupier of the pitch is responsible for, must be paid in full before departure. The park and its facilities are used entirely at guest’s own risk. The proprietor will not be held liable in respect of any person or property. Caravans and/or cars being moved by the proprietor are at the owner’s risk


Any swimming, playing etc in the river is at guest’s own risk.

No responsibility or liability is accepted by the proprietor.

In the Campsites opinion, any person who is not suitable to continue the holiday because of unreasonable behaviour or annoyance to other holidaymakers, the site reserves the right to exclude the holiday party from the site.  In this event no refund will be given & you will be liable for any damage caused to property.

Breathable ground sheets only to be used on grass areas/pitches.

On Site speed limit is strictly 5mph.

Drones are strictly forbidden.


The use of the waste skip is limited to lightweight domestic refuse only. All other rubbish, e.g. packaging, metal, timber objects, masonry, polythene, groundsheets, old awnings, carpets, tables, chairs etc. should be taken home. All waste in the skip is 100% recycled by a local firm (Peak Waste Management) and zero waste goes to landfill.


Any provision of wireless broadband/WiFi internet access is a complimentary facility and Bank House Farm accepts no liability for loss of coverage or quality where technical problems are experienced.

CLOSED SEASON – The park is closed between September/October (weather dependent) and 1 April or Easter, whichever is the sooner.
